The Mindful Equine Afterschool Program is an 8 session social-emotional series that focuses on connecting humans and horses. Each session will revolve around a different theme as participants connect with horses and learn important life skills such as:

Leadership

Boundaries

Teamwork
-
Mindfulness
-
Self-expression
-
Emotional awareness
Students will arrive at Mission Acres and start with the grounding practice before working with the horses. Students will learn about horses in a mindful way building upon their skills each week.
Note:

There is no riding included as part of this program. All work with the horses will be done on the ground and in hand.

Each participants must bring their own helmet (bike or ski helmet is fine) and wear it when working with the horses.

Participants must register and commit to all 8 sessions.

Payment is due upon registration and costs are non-refundable.

Age Group: 8-14 years.

COVID guidelines will be adhered to, including wearing masks when we aren't able to physically distance. Hand sanitizing stations are set up at the various sites.
